MDTV none of the fixes worked for me, the PC wont wake up once it goes into sleep mode. Hoping that some future windows update will fix this
When I hit my windows key and selected “Sleep” my pc turned off to the black screen like normally, but when I was getting back on it is stuck on the black screen. Can I have some help?
When I wake my computer it turns on the fans running and everything but the screen isn’t turning on or the mouse or keyboard but when I hold the power button to turn it off it turns on normally

Thank you so much!!! The cmd command worked!!!
this worked !! thanks.
Thank you, great job explaining and it worked for me.
This was the fix for the black screen problem after standby on my pc. It happens only when C1E state in Bios and the Windows PCIe energy saving option is both enabled.
Disabling PCI-E power saving or disabling hibernation (with powercfg -h off command) did not help me. Unistalling and reinstalling nvidia drivers seems to have worked though.
It took me about 6 hours to go through a complete list of solutions suggested by Dell Support and I am not sure which recommendation helped exactly, but disabling all services except for windows services helped. Which gave me an idea that it was a driver issue. I found that some nvidia driver files were from different dates, so I uninstalled all nvidia files completely and then reinstalled new nvidia drivers. And the issue has not reappeared.
I do not recommend disabling hibernation (as per the second advice in this video), because it's the best mode (saves power and preserves all open apps), and the whole purpose is to fix hibernation, not disable it.

thank you!!! i had this problem for years!! finally fixed it
great..it works
After having tried a bunch of other suggestions found elsewhere, including disabling my third-party antivirus program and even adjusting my power settings so the machine never goes to sleep, your PCI Express trick was the only one that worked. Problem solved….for a month. And then, without my having changed any settings, it started happening again. (I have a Lenovo ThinkPad E490S running Windows 10.) Any idea why that might have happened, or what I can do about it? // By the way, I then tried your second fix – <powercfg -h off> – and got the same error message that at least one other person reports here: "Unable to perform operation. An unexpected error (0x65b) has occurred: Function failed during execution."
I put my windows 10 laptop on sleep mode an now my USB port (which had mouse dongle plugged in) isnt working. I've tried all that google recommended so far but no luck. Can you please tell me how to resolve this?
