We live in the most peaceful time in human history. Wait, what? Seriously? That can’t be right, there are more wars than ever! Well, no and they’re killing fewer and fewer people, even though the world population is at an all-time high…and the numbers prove it! We explain how we came to this conclusion, and why war might… go away.

  1. There's brand new stuff in the Kurzgesagt Merch Shop. Check it out here: shop.kurzgesagt.org

  2. Just watched this. You forgot nuclear weapons and mutually assured destruction.
Prior to our ability to eliminate all life on the planet the consequences were disastrous but never considered apocalyptic. The nuclear age changed that.

  3. True thing about democracy is they’re not as good as Republicans democracies will take all the power Republicans give people some power

  4. Russia, china, Iran, Venezuela, of course is going to be war, the question is when? As the video says, we have 75 years to see if we truly won't do war again

  5. No matter how much time passes by, the stupid pointless console war will continue on and on forever.

  6. America couldn't fight a war with another country so it decided to fight a war with itself because there's oil in turmoil

  7. The nuclear bomb makes war impossible to win in a lot of cases. War is arguably less likely now but the consequences of war would be infinity worse.

  8. hey, the instrumental sound (violin? or some trumpets?) in this video sounds very familiar with something I've heard before, but just can't recall from where or what song. can you please put the song up maybe, so i and others who thinks it sound beautiful can heard it without the naration.
