Lisa Gade reviews the late 2017 edition of the Dell Inspiron 13 7000 series. That’s Dell’s high end Inspiron model, and the 73737 is the latest edition with Intel 8th generation quad core 15 watt CPUs for significantly higher performance. This is a 13.3” Windows 10 convertible 2-in-1 with 360 degree hinges, a full HD IPS touch screen and active digital pen support (not included in the box, this time it’s N-Trig technology like the Microsoft Surface Pro and HP Spectre x360). Dell also offers the Inspiron 7000 and 15 and 17 inch sizes.

** Get it on Amazon here:

The laptop is available with Intel Core i5-8250U and Core i7-8550U quad core CPUs, up to 16GB DDR4 RAM and there are a variety of SSD capacities. It has a backlit keyboard and Microsoft Precision trackpad. Pricing starts around $879.

  1. My only complaint is with the battery. Am hour , not serious work , and you are looking for an outlet .

  2. Can anyone tell me about the battery life?
I'm Thinking of getting the Dell Inspiron 7373 (i7-8550U/16GB/256GB/FHD/W10) model. Although I'll probably use it with linux.

  3. Fantastic review. Was considering this laptop, seeing it on discount in bestbuy. Your review has reassured me. Thank you 🙂

  4. i was looking at the Lanovo youga 730 but I heard soo many bad things about the screen flickering, and its bad customer service.

  5. I have a 14" 2in1 lenovo falling apart (6th gen) .. So loving your reviews right now.

But one question i have is why can't a numb pad (on/off) be squeezed next to the touch pad on these devices?

It's the one thing i miss. It's eually as handy as the touch screen

  6. Useless waste laptop it’s fan is noisy and generates heat. Returned it after two days of use.

  7. Hey guys just a question, whats the difference between this laptop and the xps 13 other than the 4k screen and 2 thunderbolt ports. Whats the hidden cost making the dell xps 13 so expensive. Both of the laptops really have similar specs i7, 16gb ram, 512 ssd.

  12. What do you think, at this time, should I buy this laptop? As I have only budget to buy only these range of laptops?

Been checking out your reviews for years always spot on. Thank you so much!
Just bought this one and love it, yes battery life is short. However give it a charge before hoping on the plane and you can get a lot of work done.
